Residential Swamp Coolers & Evaporative Coolers

Swamp Coolers/Evaporative Coolers

Swamp coolers

Evaporative coolers, also called swamp coolers, offer a low-cost way to cool your home or business and slashes electric bills. They work by blowing air across water-absorbing material. The evaporation of the water cools the air.

Swamp coolers are an excellent low-cost way to supplement traditional air conditioning. They work well in our desert climate and use much less electricity than an air conditioner.  Ideally, they work best when the temperature is less than 100℉ (38℃) and less than 27% humidity. They begin to lose their effectiveness as temperatures and humidity rise. Having one means you don’t need to run your air conditioner when the climate is suitable for the less expensive swamp cooler.

Desert Tech Air Conditioning and Heating installs, services and repairs swamp coolers in the Palm Springs and desert cities area.

Swamp Coolers as Part of an Energy Saving Plan

Swamp coolers are ideal for home or business cooling during the spring and fall months in the Palm Springs and desert cities area. Running the more energy-efficient swamp cooler instead of air conditioning, you can dramatically reduce your annual cooling bill.

Great For People Who Don't Like Air Conditioning

An evaporative cooler, or swamp cooler, offers an excellent alternative for those who do not like air conditioning.

Cost Effective for Snowbirds

If you are a snowbird with a home in the Palm Springs and desert cities area, you are typically not subjected to the more brutal high-summer months.  Still, there are those times that it can be hot in the fall and spring. You might want to consider a more efficient evaporative cooler, or swamp cooler to chill your space.  You’ll keep your cool and save money at the same time!

Swamp Cooler and Evaporative Cooler Installation

Desert Tech Air Conditioning & Heating will determine what size swamp cooler you need.  Swamp cooler sizing is essential. A swamp cooler must still be the right size to be able to cool your home or space effectively.  Depending on your ducting a swamp cooler can be attached to your existing ductwork.  Swamp coolers also use standard 110-volt circuits and requires minimal electrical cost.
